
Turkey Teriyaki Meatballs Recipe
Here is how to make turkey teriyaki meatballs that is a great family dinner and meal prep recipe. Served best with jasmine rice or brown rice for heartwarming and filling meal.
Ingredients
Turkey Meatballs
- 500 g (1.1 lb) turkey thigh mince
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 50 g (0.5 cups) breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbsp ginger minced
- 1 tsp salt
Teriyaki Sauce
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Garnish
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 spring onion chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven at 350°F (180°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and use hands (use latex gloves) to combine and mix.
- With the mixture, shape up meatballs and line on a non-stick baking tray.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until fully cooked. You can also use an air fryer but reduce the time to 15 to 20 minutes.
- Prepare the teriyaki sauce by adding all ingredients in a saucepan on low heat. Allow the sauce to slowly thicken up whilst the meatballs are cooking.
- Once the meatballs are fully cooked, add them to the saucepan and combine them with the teriyaki sauce.
- Garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds. Serve with jasmine rice or refrigerate for your meal prep..
