  • In a food processor, combine the tahini and lemon juice, and blitz for 1 minute. Ensure you scrape the sides and process for another 30 seconds.
  • Add to the food processor: olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, and salt. Process for 45 seconds.
  • Add the chickpeas to the food processor. Process for 1 minute, scrape the sides, and process for another 2 minutes or until smooth. Whilst processing, ensure you slowly add water to the food processor until it’s fully smooth.
  • To serve, drizzle over olive oil and sumac seasoning.

Notes

Store in an airtight container and refrigerate up to one week for meal prep.
You can used canned chickpeas to save time, but we recommend soaking the chickpeas overnight and soft cooking them to prepare for this hummus recipe.
